Information Technology

The Nashville Global Academy strives to prepare well-rounded students who will be leaders in our ever-changing global society; using technology appropriately is a component of that goal.  We understand that computers and the Internet are not effective or appropriate in every educational situation.  Technology, however does serve as a resource through which students may discover, investigate, and solve problems.  Students must be able to determine when to use technology, and then have the skills and resources to do so. The Nashville Global Academy’s technology program is designed to develop such discrimination and to provide the resources.

The Nashville Global Academy supports computers located in classrooms, the library, and in the computer lab.  All are connected to NGA's campus-wide network, often through wireless access.  These machines and the supporting peripherals allow students at all grade levels to utilize technology in their daily learning.  A computing curriculum of skills and applications guides instruction and project planning.  The state-of-the-art lab is open before and after school to allow students continual access.  In the classrooms, library, and online communities, Nashville Global Academy students will use technology to communicate, connect, create, collaborate, research, assess, and most importantly, learn.
